Sam Alam, MHA, CHC is a Board Certified Healthcare Consultant. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Healthcare Administration from California State University. Prior to forming HFC, Sam was a senior member of the Deloitte & Touches healthcare team. He served in Administration at St. Luke's and Texas Children's Hospital, both teaching hospitals, and served as the youngest member of the administrative team at AMI, in charge of professional services for 17 AMI hospitals. At the time AMI was the second largest for-profit hospital chain in the world. Sam has planned and developed over 58 hospitals all over the US, as well as overseas. Two of his hospitals are now listed among the "Best Hospitals in America." Sam is also internationally recognized for developing the largest private hospital in Pakistan and for writing the prospectus for an IPO at the Pakistan Stock Exchange. Sam has multi-disciplinary training in healthcare administration, strategic and facility planning. With over 20 years of experience, he has planned over 15 million square feet of space and built roughly $2 billion dollars in construction projects.
Antonio Bueso, MD is an Emergency Medicine physician, who finished his medical degree at Boston University and ER training at OHSU in Portland, OR. He joined Neighbors Emergency Center in 2015 and quickly adopted all of the core values the company stands for. Antonio became the facility medical director of the 27th Neighbors center in San Angelo, TX. Antonio enjoys spending time with his wife, Vashti, and handsome pooch, Monte, when ever possible. He is a certified pilot which he utilized these skills frequently to get him to and from the various places he works throughout the Neighbors enterprise. Antonio values relationships and experiences and believes in making the best of every situation and that “truth and love, conquer all”.
Richard Ybarra, MD is career emergency physician and physician executive with 29 years of clinical experience and 20 + years as a physician executive. Dr. Ybarra began to serve as an ED and EMS Medical Director five years into his career. Leadership and problem solving applied to hospital based EDs, EMS, and Freestanding Emergency Centers, has been the impetus for his leadership and organizational performance enhancing capacities. Dr. Ybarra has worked with several Emergency Medicine groups to bring value and facilitate organizational infrastructure, while encouraging physician and professional team interdependence. Dr. Ybarra is a consummate learner, who adapts to professional challenges while optimizing resource utilization. Dr. Ybarra currently serves as the Regional Medical Director for all Neighbors Emergency Care Centers in the South Texas Region.
Charles Dunham, JD, an associate at Epstein Becker Green, PC, is the legal counsel assisting NTH navigate the legal challenges affecting virtual patient care and the risks that can arise in a telehealth setting. As a graduate of the Albany Law School of Union University, Mr. Dunham has an in-depth focus on the regulation of telemedicine, mobile health, health information technology, and other software and remote monitoring applications used in the health care context. He has been at the forefront of the development of global regulatory policy for health information technology and integrally involved in the regulatory challenges facing the telehealth market.
Hector Ramos, BSN, CSP, NR-EMTP began his medical career as a paramedic right after high school. He then served as an army flight medic during desert storm. While stationed at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, Hector became a trusted trainer and tech in their level 2 trauma center. He attended classes at the University of Washington in Seattle and eventually transferred back to Texas where he earned his BSN at University of Texas Brownsville. With over 20 years of combined medical, administrative, training and safety experience, Hector now currently resides in Harlingen, Texas. In addition to his BSN, he is an OSHA Safety Instructor, a CSP (certified safety professional) and a NREMT-P.
Juan Urrea is a Junior Developer for Neighbors Telehealth LLC. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Houston. Juan’s technical experience consists of working with SQL Studio Management, Plesk – Control Panel for Web Hosting, and Source Control software such as Git and TFS. In addition, he has knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Ruby, and C++. Juan has contributed to the company by supporting the lead programmer in designing our application, developing our Website and Training Manuals for users, and providing technical training at client sites. Furthermore, his additional roles include testing the application thoroughly for any validation and functionality errors, cross-browser checks, and connectivity issues.
